Good for the Garden

Harper, TX(Zone 8a)

This sunflower grew out a dropped bird seed I think. Anyway it has enticed bees to my garden which are always welcome and I consider a good thing. Just thought everyone would enjoy seeing a picture of a giant Sunflower! Txsdar

So beautiful! And thanks for sharing. My birdseed generally shows up as chickweed. Happily, I like chickweed. But that's gorgeous. There's nothing like a sunflower, is there?

Sunflowers are gorgeous. Always remind me of my grandmother. Thanks for the pic, today.

Yes, i have many volunteers in my gaden also, but mine are the native kind.
They are all beautiful and really cheer up the place.

Yeah, as long as the blooms last they really brighten up the area. Here a picture of a Hopi Dye Sunflower. This is a plant the Hopi Indians used to get dye from the seeds for baskets, etc.
