Taylor Dawn

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

I waited all day to get these crummy pics but she was wilted with the heat today. I brought her inside to get these. The lighting isnt the best but she was so pretty I just had to share!
She really smells good too!!

Thanks, So far she is my favorite, but then Ive only had 3 bloom. Calalily's Eternity is just about to open and I cant wait! Mountain Magic has buds all over it and I pray over it daily that is does'nt drop the buds in this heat! EP has a big fat bud that is just about to open. I can see why just a few are never enough!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nice color, Caren. I'm happy that you are having blooms. Sure wish we didn't have all of this hot weather everyplace. I could do with some 75 degree stuff with 60 at night. Rain would help too. LOL! Congrats on your blooms.

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

I'll take that cool weather! Today is just unbareable! 92* with 56% humidity.
It feels well over 100* AAARRGGG!! Most of my Brugies seem to be ok but Taylor must not like the heat.

Muskegon, MI(Zone 5a)

That is such a pretty pink..I got this brug last year and its still tiny so Im hoping it grows by leaps and bounds before the fall frosts.....thanks for showing off your picture...I LOVE IT.....Judy

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

You are doing a great job in this hot weather we down south are have'g supposed to be 95(supposed to feel like 105) today. We have had 2/10 of an inch of rain since the 7th of June. I have to water twice a day to keep everything going.

So Taylor Dawn has a flirty skirt. I love that!! Your pinks are so pretty Caren.

So you were out at dawn taking pictures. What a great way to start your day.

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

Thanks Kell, not much compaired to yours but I get there someday. That skirt is my fav part of Taylor! As for being up at dawn DH is an early riser and woke me to see a beautiful sunrise. He was even nice enough to bring me a cup a joe! Yes a very nice start to the day. :o)

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Both are very pretty.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Very pretty flowers on both of them. It's such a great time of year with all the brugs beginning to bloom.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh Caren, you will get there. I have been growing brugs for a while now and lots of friends have shared their best. If you hang around here long enough like I do, all good things will come to you I have found.

And your brugs are just great!!! If you want to start breeding, you just need 2 great brugs to cross and you will have so many great brugs from the seeds just 1 year later!! And they do not even have to be the newer brugs. EP is a great one to start with and I would cross it with a more aurea looking one (longer calyx) that is from 2 pink parents. Or get a Cream sickle and cross it with a yellow to try to get yellow doubles!! L'A is great to get both yellow or pink babies from. These are all older brugs so more easily gotten that I have found gave me great babies and so much fun.

Those early mornings outside in the crisp cool air. It reminds me how great it is to be alive!

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

I have a small Creamsickle, Sweetheart and Double peach.
Im hopeing to collect some pollen from the blooms I have now to use later but the only one that has any fluffy looking pollen was Eternity. I really can't think of anything to cross it with that I have. I did save it though cause you never know.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Such pretty blooms and I understand what you are going through with the heat and brugs. Even some of mine that are in afternoon shade have wilted blooms but it is always nice to see them perk back up in the evening.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Caren, I immediately put my pollen in the freezer and it keeps quite well. You can even make off the wall crosses for who knows what nature has in mind!

And what is so much fun, if you like your brug you can name it just about anything you like. And even register it. So go for it. Have fun!
