Went to the garden today, just looking around, and found a Box Car Willie that was ripe. Haven't tasted it yet, but it sure looks good.

I am looking forward to that day. I hope that in the near future, all my ripe ones will be in a bucket, waiting for their turn at canning. Then it won't matter if they are heirloom, or hybrid, they will be "winter's bounty".
