Goldfish

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

DrDon said the goldfish gurus were to be found here. I have had this on the ID forum and have been unable to find this little fish's name. This is the last blossom of the season-I thought I would have to wait for the next blooms.
Anyone have a name for my little stripey fish?

How about that. Thanks Keyring. I will post it again in full bloom. I got it at the dollar store as a small foliage only plant. Sometimes you get your money's worth Lol!

I guess I had best post it in plantfiles. I went to look and there was no pic. I hate to post the poor lone fish but that is all I have just now.

It is actually a fair sized plant. What size pot is yours in? This is in a 1 gal. Should it have a larger home?

PS The spaths endured becoming outside plants and bloomed.

Hey a plant in a gallon size pot is awesome! If it is root bound you could pot it up, but mine seems to be very forgiving. Mine is a LITTLE thing it's just in a 6inch hanging basket & I just repotted it into fresh soil & decreased the size of pot it was in. So far so good.:)

That's wonderful those spaths did well for you. I love htem & always have at least one.

I'm always thrilled when I send someone plants & it turns out well.

I still have all of them. Lol! They were quite dismayed to find themselves out in what passes for winter around here but decided it wasn't so bad. The little bromeliad is still with me too.

Everything is in gallon pots or 12" pots.
A. I have a lot of them
B. Anything smaller requires too frequent watering

Wonderful!

I agree that anything smaller requires too much watering..lol I've been spending lots of time trying to keep the outside stuff watered & here our new desert home it is very challenging!!!
All my plants SEEM to be surviving.
