not a recipe just a picture

of what i brought home in a doggie bag cause i couldn't eat the rest of my sandwich. went to the famous carnegie deli in manhattan yesterday evening. this is a "woody allen" named after the director. its a combo of pastrami and corned beef. very lean and very tender. there must be a pound and a half of stuff in the sandwich. they even bring you extra bread so you can make sandwiches to go if you want. they cost about fifteen dollars each but they are well worth it.
if you ever get the chance to visit nyc you just have to try this place. it's not fancy and sometimes the waiters get a bit snitty but i think they put on this snitty act just so you can have a real new york experience. the place is open till 4 a.m.
