I sprayed my beloved DiscoBelle with my Pharm Solutions Inc. Organic Insecticidal Soap with Pure Cinnamon Oil, which I got for my dahlias, and I went to feed it today and found the majority of the leaves burnt at the edges, some leaves had died completely. Why was this stuff bad for the plant? Will it kill it?
Arrgh, what went wrong?
Hibiscus is very sencetive to some sprays even if they are organic, Never spray when your Hib is due to stand in sunshine all or half the day. Best time to spray is in the evenings, VERY early mornings or have the plant in the shade if its in a pot.
If I use any soap on Hib I leave it on for about one hour and then shower it off. If you leave the soap residue there, that can give sunburns on the leaves. Check that the spray you use dont state ""not on Hib"" and give it a good shower.
Janett
Janett is correct and I would like to add - make sure your plant is well watered before spraying with anything.
