Needed help with the greenhouse

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I got cuttings from some DGers last fall and after rooting them in water, I saw that they needed potting . So I potted them and put them in my new little greenhouse. They did well for awhile but then developed a fungus. They were speckled all over ( I have seen several pix of this problem here in the forum) and then the leaves started falling off.
Because I live in a cool mountain climate, I wanted to get a headstart on growing my brugs as last year some of them didn't bloom before frost. What can I do to avoid the fungus this year? Should I run a fan all the time?
We have a heater in there set to come on at 45 deg. Is that the problem?

Oh gosh, I hope someone has some advice for you. I know nothing of greenhouses, wish I could help.

Sometimes that blotchy look is simply because of the lack of direct sunshine. I've had it and they come out of it once outside in the fresh air and sunshine. Did yours keep the blotchy look after you moved them outside?

Yes they stayed blotchy until I used a fungicide.

Sounds like you have your problem figured out....now just to keep it from happening. Maybe for newly potted babies, it isn't warm enough. I don't know because I keep all of my rooted cuttings in the house with us and that would be around 70 degrees. Maybe someone else will have a better answer.

45 degrees is a little cool for rooting cuttings.
I try to keep mine between 50 -60 degrees but sometimes it dips lower when it is 20-30 below zero outside.
Air circulation is very important. It helps prevent fungus and also insects.
If you have a very small GH you can use an oscillating fan that will keep the air moving throughout your GH.
I water sparingly during the winter. The plants don't need as much water as they are semi dormant.

I rooted the cuttings inside and when they got a lot of roots I potted them and moved them to the greenhouse. Early on they did fine but then they developed that fungus. I may try to keep them a little drier and run the fan all the time. I thank all of you for your help.
