DH (name is Bob...one heck of a great guy) is building me a 10 x 20 shade house off the greenhouse to house my hanging plants. Walking up the center aisle of the GH is an obstacle course...and there are many plants, now, that I need to grow out.....so....here is the first stage...the frame. The feet will be seated in cinder blocks/cement and there will be guywires at the 4 corners. There are 6 'racks' to hang pots from...3 on either side of the center 'walkway. It will only have shade cloth....so the rain and the breeze will get everyone.
And he mentions putting his palms in there????? Hello?
OMG...she has the camera again!!!!!
Oooooh, that light green leaf with dark green veins in the section of David Liddle cuttings looks exciting.... lusting ... lusting ... lusting...
Can I come play plants at your house???? Man.....
Yes, what IS that one Carol? Almost looks "too" light. With the dark veins, it is very attactive.
Will write the name down today. I think it is SO light because of the stress of travel....
You see the dischidia hanging from the beam.... I hung it out there bout 3 weeks ago...it gets full sun in the morning to about noon and it is growing madly!!! Loves it.
If it is a light green hoya with the dark venation in the lower right quadrant of the first picture....it is IML 1029 H. sp. AD 19 from Kapit.
What a "boring" name that hoya has!
Sure does...but there are so many that have no names...alas...that are beautiful. Arden Deardre (spelling of name is not correct) is an avid collector of tropicals and a buddy of David Liddle...and when he goes collecting for his own collection, he brings hoyas back for David. His private collection of tropicals is to die for...and he is a really neat person. I was lucky enough to meet him and to visit his nursery which is awesome...
Ah, no room for palms I can already tell. What is he thinking? Just because Bob does all the work he thinks he can have some rental space? LOL
Oh WOW...What a nice hubby :)
Now I need to get some land so I can do all this wonderful stuff :)
I don't have one greenhouse yet (I am deprived!)
And a question :)
what is the hoya that is light green with dark green veining in the cuttings from david liddle? a definite MUST HAVE!
It is on the right hand side
Answer up above, Lorrie....H. sp. AD 19 (really sexy name, eh?).
Hehe ok not such a great name but I HAVE to write that down :) what a pretty leaf :)
Sigh...yep, too old.
