"Hmmmm...I wonder what...whoa, what's in there....you wanna come with me....OH NO...I am skert of the dark....OK then...stay out there....."

(Our 'walls' are ceder planks, single wall construction. some angles have large gaps -previous owners must have 'smoked' alot- so there is little between us and outside. Don't need much, really.

Who else gets to live like that? I am so jealous - and I'm not sure I'm jealous of you or your unruly plants that get to play wherever they want to.

Sequim, WA(Zone 8a)

Ahem, I think it's a combo of both, I am totally jealous of the plants and where she lives!!!

Hehe..that is TOO FUNNY.
It is amazing what these little buggers will get into!

They are FAST too. When I was watering one day, I saw one starting to vine it's way up into some fencing I didn't want it to get wound up in, so I decided I would come back when I finished the round & untangle it. Well, I forgot as usual & the very next day...it had gone right through that fence and was headed around a drain pipe. I think 2 ft. of vine must have grown on that plant overnight. Ha. They are persistant too. I have unwound them & repositioned them without really pinning them down, only to come back the next day & see they had UNWOUND where *I* put them and went BACK where they WANTED to go. Ha.

They are precocious!!! I have a H. calycina growing/hanging on the end of a bamboo pole. I noticed a vine coming out of the pole, and one going in....so I yanked and pulled out about 5' of vine that had gone IN...hit the node which blocks off the hollow space and came back out again..... wierd.
