Yes, send it to me...lol :D

Just kidding... they are easy once you get the hang of them. Kinda like AV's just less water.

Very pretty!

Gorgeous! Wow, that foliage really pops! At first glance, it reminds me of the 'Miami Storm' begonia that Jan just picked up at Logee's....

Ya know, I love them because they will fit right on the plant stand along with our AV's, unlike my taller cane begonias.
They are also fairly easy to propagate like AV's from a leaf too!

I have such a cute little Begonia in a pot from a leaf that you sent me, MsC! :-) I'll try to get a photo... it's right in the middle of my plant stand upstairs, among the AVs just as you said!

Jill,
You will have to post a pic of it cause I don't remember which one it was..lol
I've started added to my mini Rex begonia collection again. Seems they will do ok here in the desert. They fit nicely in my terrariums, too! Ya know I love that.:)

Beautiful Jacki ! I love the colorful ones ! I have a few growing right with my Av's they grow so well on my window shelves too. They love the kitchen one !
I also now have several growing in our gardens beds, and they love it ! They grow so way, easy, no fuss for me I am lucky !

Just beautiful. I find they like to dry out between waterings. A little sun light encourages blooms. But the leaves are what is spectacular. Love it.

Beautiful, Planti! I hope it does well for you. I think I've already killed the one I posted a picture of the other day. LOL Overwatered it when I repotted it, I guess. *big eye roll* I wish you much better luck with yours! It's gorgeous!

I yike it! I yike it alot! Very pretty.

Thank you all! We'll see how it does. When I repotted, I added lots of perlite for drainage so that should help with the watering thing. It seems like the older I get, the more perlite I add to any mix. It just works so much better!

Me, too, and I added hydrogen peroxide to the water as well. Mine just fell over, though. Like it fainted, or something. It's almost funny to me how quickly I can kill a rex begonia. It's a laugh-or-cry kinda thing! LOL

Yikes!! Sorry to hear that :( But yeah, many times...ya gotta laugh or you'll cry!!

I'm with you - I've decided it's a time to laugh when they faint on me!

they're gorgeous though! one of these days I'll figure them out.

Here's my lovely specimen. See how much prettier yours looks next to mine, Planti? LOL

I'm glad I'm not the only one they faint for, Key. Thanks for telling me that. I was afraid I was the only person who couldn't grow them.

I was talking to a local orchid grower who says to pot it up, then never water it. He claims that if you water it, it'll just flop. lol. (He has a humid and stable greenhouse.)

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Oh no!! I watered the heck out of mine last night when I repotted it. It's doing fine this morning...so far!! Could it be the difference in humidity? We have very low humidity in these parts. How about you, RG and Key??

Whatever it is, I sure feel lucky right now :))

DC metro, VA(Zone 7b)

I have no clue :P

to be clear, the orchid grower is not a begonia guru. His were all fainting off until he figured out what works for him :-)
