I got my June Bingo Box!!

Edison, NJ(Zone 7a)

Yay! I received my box today!

Allison, everything was beautifully packed. The only casualty was Black Ace. All of the larger leaves were broken off. After I took pictures of everything and started putting things away, I found that the one remaining large leaf was also broken. But I was able to pot up three of the leaves, and the crown still has a few small leaves, so all is not lost!

Besides the Bingo items, Allison sent some extras too! Thank you so much, Allison!

Here's what was in my box:

Plants:

Bells of Ireland
Aly's Blizzard Bunny
Ma's Melody Girl (beautiful girl leaves!!)
Sassy Shell
Wrangler's Stampede
Black Ace
Steel Blue
Angel Tears Trail
AV with no label
?? with no label (not an AV)

Leaves:

Harmony's Frilly Dilly
Purple Passion
Rob's Shadow Magic
Little Shimmer
Lubimaia Dochka (Russian - Beloved Daughter)
Barkhatnaia Fantaziia (Russian - Velvet Fantasy)
Little Rick

Plus, of course, the 25 four inch pots!

I'm so excited!!

This is the AV that didn't have a label. I checked the packaging again, just in case, but couldn't find anything.

Allison, any idea what it is?

Thanks!

And this is the other unlabeled plant. I love it, but I know it's not an AV. At least, I don't think it is?

I had a great time playing, and I never expected to win!

Everything, plants and leaves, was beautiful. Thank you so much for the Alsobia Cygnet, too! It's my first non-AV, so it's something new for me. I've seen pictures, and can't wait until it blooms!

Allison, you are the best!

What a super box, Stephanie! You'll love Angel Tears Trail. Mine grows like wildfire. And the Alsobia is amazing, too! I swear I can stand and watch mine grow. You got some fabulous plants and leaves!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Congratulations, Stephanie! What a great group of prizes. Enjoy!!

Great looking batch of AVs Allison. Stephanie you got a nice box of goodies.

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Congrats Stephanie!

Doesn't Allison do the greatest job of packaging? You have a lot of really nice plants. I got an Alsobia Cygnet and I can't wait for my first bloom which shouldn't be too long I think.

Enjoy and TFS!

I Dmailed Allison right away of course when her prize box arrived, but I've been remiss in not posting about the lovely goodies she sent!

I went from zero "Space Babies" to a whole collection of them -- exciting!

Beautiful plantlets of:

Aly's Blizzard Bunny
Little Chatterbox
Optimara EverGrace
Optimara EverJoy
Optimara EverLove
Optimara EverPraise
Optimara EverRejoice
Pat's Champagne
Tiny Tim
Twist 'n Shout
Wrangler's Stampede

Chirita sinensis 'Hisako'
Episcia 'Teddy Bear'

and leaves of:

Little Rick
Kosmi Cheskian ("Legend 2")
Nez Hank ("Soft Cuddly")
Red Bandito
Rob's Boondoggle

not to mention some great plastic pan pots -- just in time for some babies that needed transplanting!

Most of the plants arrived in spectacular condition, looking very perky! I put down a couple of broken leaves, so hopefully I'll has some space babies to share! EverJoy was droopy on arrival and is still drooping but at least looks no worse. I think I'll repot her tonight and see if that helps.

Thanks for a fabulous Bingo Box, Allison!!

(edited because I forgot a couple of leaves)

Joanne, I agree wholeheartedly! Allison does a great job of packing.

What a great Bingo box of goodies you received, too, Critter! Congratulations!

I especially loved the Ma's Melody Girl Allison sent. I put it right next to my other two girl leaf plants (a NOID and Persian Prince).

And Black Ace, which lost so many leaves, is perking up. I repotted it in a smaller pot, and put it in my little greenhouse out on my back porch. It's nice and warm out there, and the humidity seems to have helped.

I've got ears up today on a leaf of Ma's Melody Girl -- exciting! I also have a couple of teeny tiny plantlets of Persian Prince. I think that's such a stunning plant, so I'm giving those little plantlets lots of TLC, and they are growing! You're probably gathered that I'm especially enamored of the girl leaf AVs. :-)

Edison, NJ(Zone 7a)

Critter,

Girl leaf AVs are fast becoming a second favorite of mine, the first being just about anything with a green edge.

I bought Persian Prince because I liked the blooms, and didn't even realize until I received it that it had girl leaves! They are so pretty and delicate looking.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Stephanie, please Dmail me if you have any perennials for trade... we're in about the same zone, so any sunny perennials that you have should work well for me also... I'd love to send you a box of girl leaf babies this fall! I've got a bunch of leaves with ears up now.

I can see I need to put a leaf down for you from the 'Mini Minx' that Allison sent -- girl foliage *and* a green edge!

Mini Minx (4056) 09/17/1980 (L. Egenites) Double lavender two-tone/green edge. Girl foliage. Miniature
