It is amazing to me how such a tiny tuber can produce such a pretty flower. Also called Hot Water Plant and Monkey Flower.

Beautiful! I love Achimenes and usually forget I have them until they start sending out those wonderful flowers. Mine are pink and not blooming yet.
I never heard them called hot water plants and wonder where they got that name.
