So, here is an odd sort of thing I am seeing... My H. tjadasmalanguensis IML 1181 (or, Mr. T) is exuding sap from the peduncle - before, during, and after it blooms. I am including a picture of a drop of sap that came from the peduncle and then dried up part way down the bloom stem (it's that blobby-looking thing on one of the blooms/buds).
Is anyone else experiencing this? What other Hoya's do this as well?

Sap & Blooms
Yuck...looks like an alien!
Well, I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this. So, I guess this is not terribly unusual. I am just used to the sap coming from the blooms, not from the peduncle. Time to get mine a bib - it's already dripped on my couch.
