I have a THIRD nanner tree blooming! Holy cow! This tree is really young to be blooming. It is half the girth of the older tree and is salready showing some signs of buckling. As skinny as the bloom is, I doubt if it has very many nanners in it, though. It is a good thing I've got a lot of pups coming up. I"ve got 16...even after giving away almost all of my pups this Spring...the adolescent trees have been putting up pups left and right. I can't believe this one tree is blooming...it is too young. It should wait anohter year or two before blooming. Oh well....liek I said, it is a really skimpy bloom, so I doubt if it has many nanners in it.
Invasion of the blooming nanners!
Great pictures! I love seeing the blooms, they are so interesting. What kind of nanner is this?
We think it is an Orinoco. Thye were here when I bought the house. Can't wait to taste them...but it will be quite a while before they are ripe. Darn it!
I love this! Your zone is so close to mine, but I can't grow tropicals outside (at least from much of what I've read) I'm in 7b. I found a banana tree at the open air markent and placed it in a pot. Are yours potted?
Day O! Daylight come and me wanna go home!Hey Mister Tally man, daylight come and me wanna go home!!
Do you have a platation license, for growing all those nanners????
