on line plant auctions

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of the plants sold on e-bay are just weeds that grow in the south? people up here in the north are buying pleanty of them. I wish I could sell my weeds to them..

I noticed some native plants being sold on ebay.

I made the inquiry to the seller about the source of the plants. And was told they were acquired at a reputable nursery. Although the price was going for considerably less than what a nursery propogated plant would sell for - so I wondered if all was kosher. I suspect many of these plants may be dug from the wild so I did not bid on any.
