Is it too late to start from seed in zone 6?? I don't mind waiting for those little guys. My transplant died. :(
lemon cuke question
It shouldn't be too late to seed direct.
I wouldn't think so either...I'm planning on starting some more cukes this weekend too...just remember that they'll probably require more water because of the difference in the time of year.
Thanks, I'll seed this weekend. I just love those little guys.
Got my second planting in this morning....did 'Double Yield'...an old heirloom pickling type...(I prefer the taste of 'picklers' fresh to 'slicers'...even though I have to peel them)
I like the Lemon cukes too...but have had them the past couple of years...wanted to try something else this time.
Got my lemon cukes seeded. I have 2 in Earthboxes and 2 in regular garden boxes. We'll see what works, if any.
Oh, I planted the whole pack...about 40 or so seeds...they're breaking ground this morning...but I've got some seroius pickles to make, thus the great # of plants.
I do wish my zone was warmer for these veggies I love.
