Finally.....!
I think had mentioned previously that I always had bad luck propagating AVleaves.
The babies *always* died after transplanting....I believe I was removing the mother leaf too soon.
I got these leaves from a friend about two years ago.....they took a lllloooooooonnnnnnnggggggg time, but they've finally matured into little plants!!
One is in bloom.....she was ID'd as Optimara Yosemite National Park....if I recall correctly.
My first 'successful' babies
Nan Wow beautiful plants well worth the wait. Optimara if you variegated plant is only has 2 blue ones.
Some lilac and purpkle and Lilac one's that look blue.
Your other plant is so beautiful too!
In First Class I have Optimara Yosemite (Holtkamp) Single pink frilled. Standard
But your's is the most beautiful fantasy ! WOW maybe Optimara's web sight says something different.
Hi Nan,
Oh my that Optimara is so pretty! Love the variegated on the NOID as well. It doesn't even have to have flowers, it is pretty enough.
TFS!
Joanne
LOL...figures, Allison!
I'm almost positive that's what she marked it as, and she's always really careful about her ID's on any plant....I just searched with that name and came up with nothing, though!!
(I'll have to double check it when I get home....I might have copied something down wrong....wouldn't be the first time!
I love the 'fantasy' on it, no matter what it's name is!
I was beginning to wonder if it would ever grow...then, VOILA.....buds!
I guess I've been paying more attention to her recently.
Thanks for the compliments Allison and Joanne.
I'll share leaves when they get a little bigger!
Best of my knowledge Optimara has 6 fantasy flowering plants . At least in FC. Your's is so beautiful !
Very preety. I love the variegated one too!
Hey maybe Nan's is a just a mutation..lol
I love the fantasy floweres too.
MsC
Oh, poo....I forgot to check that label last night....will do that tonight, though.
I do know that the label did say 'pink flowers w/blue fantasy', though....so she knew that the flowers would look like that.
