my first water lily bloom

I have never had a water feature so have never had water lilies! Sure are pretty but you absolutely need different colors! I think it's mandatory.

thank you does anyone know what kind it is?
i think the leaves look like texas dawn because of the red spots but the bloom is white so i have no idea.

Hmmmm, It looks like a hardy water lily not a tropical and I don't think I've seen a hardy white with any speckling. The blooms seem to be more creamy yellow in the pic to me. Genetically the speckling comes from a yellow waterlily, so if I were you I would look to the yellow hardies for a match. It is not likely you will be able to come up with an accurate identification, though- there are soooo many lilies out there and also so many unamed seedlings.
