American Lady - Painted Lady

I had to laugh when I read about the "flighty swallowtail". I have spent my share of time chasing them too, but catching any half-way decent photo of this little American Lady really gave me some exercise! LOL

It says they like yellow, which is good because I've planted more yellow than ever this year (I like the bright perky color when our summer gets really hot!) And it really is small when compared with our more common swallowtails. I actually still can't believe I got a usable image.
