Who am I?

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

I picked this up at my local garden center, marked down and pitifully sad and withered. 2 months & some TLC later and it's turning into a beautiful beast...but does anybody know what it is?

I counted this morning- there are 15 more buds up and coming!

As always, thanks much!

I know why you post..........................to tempt the rest of us or drive us nuts waiting for ours to bloom. My will next year, hopefully. now its just a itty bitty seedling just sprouted.

I don't know about that, Janett- mine was really scrawny and in bad shape and it grew like mad- don't be surprised if you've got blooms this year!

And you've got my number...I'm actually an undercover agent for the AHS, trying to boost their sales...lol...

If only that were true- they might give me a discount! ...instead I'm just another addict...

San Antonio, TX

That is Luna Hibiscus. I have that one and also a burgandy one. They take the heat well here is San Antonio and I cut them back to the ground in the late fall. They come back each spring. I have measured the flower to 9 inches across. I enjoy them but they are susceptible to aphids and nealy bugs.

Brigham City, UT(Zone 5b)

Tess, I have that one also. I have had it for 3 years and it gets better with more blooms every year. Have fun with that beauty. Marie
