just wanted to let you all know my grannie passed away today around 2:45. she had been sick for awhile and has been on oxygen for 4 years. i know she isn't suffering now but my heart is still in pieces. 2 of my kids are doing well with the news but my daughter mallory who is 8 is taking is very hard : ( she was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed. we have know this was coming as she was put on hospice about a month ago but she just went down hill so fast! i need all of your prayers right now. i appreciate yall.

I'm very sorry for your loss, Kelly.
This may sound a little weird, and I hope it doesn't offend you, but I'm also a little envious. You see, I never knew my grandparents -- on either side. Both my parents were older by the time I was born, and their parents were older by the time my parents were born. So while my grandparents lived to relatively old age, they were gone by the time I came along.
I never knew that wonderful relationship between a grandparent and a grandchild. So while your heart is broken and hurting, remember the wonderful relationship you had with your grandmother. Treasure it. You're a very fortunate person to have experienced it.
I will pray for you and your family, that your hearts will heal. I hope that in time the pain will lessen and your wonderful memories will come to the forefront and comfort you. Take care. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

I understand the emptiness you are feeling inside. Death is a hard thing to understand for all of us, but especially children. Our prayers are with you. I charish the memories I have of loved ones passed and hold to my faith that some day well will be reunited.

Oh Kelly, I'm so sorry. What a difficult time for you. I'll keep you and your precious children in my prayers. Bless their little hearts, death can be so hard on little ones. If I'm remembering correctly, your 2 who are taking it well are younger. Please keep a watchful eye on them. Sometimes they don't take it as well as you think they are, and it manifests itself in ways other than obvious upset and crying. Everyone deals differently.

i appreciate each and every one of you so very much! thank you so much! the funeral is today at 2:00. mallory is still taking it hard and the youngest kaylee is 4 and is asking lots of questions. kaylee is very blunt and said " I'm not worried about Grannie because she is going to be with God. " hunter who is 10 is doing well. he got to see her before she left us and got to say his goodbyes which has helped him. mallory saw her a few weeks ago and also told her goodbye. kaylee saw her right before she got to sick. i am trying to remember all the good times with grannie and i have found a lot of comfort in that. thanks for the prayers they help so much.

well i am back and doing okay. grannies service went perfect and was beautiful. it was her service and when i say this i mean she had the scriptures picked, songs, who she wanted to sing, her clothes and her favorite poem was marked for us to put on the remberance booklets. this is the poem...
