City_Sylvia, a dream come true!!

Hi Folks,

Sylvia and I discovered quite by accident that we both have a crush on Matt James, from HGTV's "City Gardener", from BBC http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/shows_hctgr . We talked at the RU about always worrying that the series was over in England, and we'd only have a few shows left, but then we read that he was coming to the US in the Spring of 2006. Guess what? He's got a new show on HGTV that premieres Wed 7/12 @ 8:30pm our time, "Urban Outsiders" http://www.hgtv.com//hgtv/shows_huout !!! Sigh! He's too cute, has a neat accent, and loves to garden!! Sylvia, our dream has come true!!!

I'm leaving early tomorrow for vacation (California, here I come!), so I'm having to record it. Will be back 7/15, see you then!

I don't know who this is but I'll have to check it out since you two are so excited! I do love Paul James tho! :)

Checking in from CA,

I love Paul James too, he's a real card and doesn't apologize for it... in fact, he runs with it! Also, he says some of my favorite things: "Mulch, mulch, mulch!!" :-)

Matt James (no relation - I think), is an incredible designer of small garden spaces, and I love to hear him talk about and work with plants, you can tell he really loves them. Plus, he's not hard to look at, and has that great British accent. It's really fun to hear garden talk with a British accent.

Maggie I was trying to tell Paige the same thing, I wonder where it went to????????? Anyway he is reall good on the eyes and he knows his stuff. I am just wondering if he is going to have a staff on the American show, in Sussex(sp he had the family an friends do the work .... I cant wait to see who does the heavy stuff now.

A nice looking host talking about plants. Which one will I be looking at more? lol Since he's in England does he talk about the same kinds of plants? I'm not so sure either of you will even know! ;)

Paul James is such a goof! My dad used to watch him and be cracking up and I would laugh, but now I love him too!

Paige he is talking about the same plants as we have here, trees and shrubs, too. He gives good information on soil requirements and light. I also like when he goes on his little exscursions to determine what he is going do in a space.

I got up and set up a pass on Tivo so I'll see what this is all about.
