This is Molly Cummings, a plant I got from Logees a couple of years ago, deep blood red flowers that are impossible to photograph. Like velvet. The whitish cast is just the light reflecting off the petals, All red....
For all you red lovers,
Such a great red!!
So Kyle, so you have to do your own watering in the GH you use?
That coleus down there is so odd colored. A really neat one. It is a new one to me.
wow that is truly beautiful
Now there's a bloom that says 'the tropics'!
What a terrific photo (and a beautiful hibiscus). What kind of camera are you using?
Beautiful bloom!!! Thanks for taking the time to share.
Judy
very nice....
Just amazing as most of your pictures are.
Kell I have to look up the name on the coleus, the white edged one at the bottom is the original, and the pink edged one next to it is a sport I started off the white one. This one sports a lot.
The camera is about 5 years old noe an Olympus D-340R 1 megapix I bought a 6 mp. one from Olympus about a year ago and hardy use it, this older one takes far superior pics. at least I think so.Have taken 1000;s of pics with it.
This variety is sometimes available from Logees. Thats where mine came from.
Thanks Kyle, I have a good Olympus too, it is only a year old but I am about to toss it because the colors never come true.
I can remember my parents buying plants from Logees when I was a small child (and I am no spring chicken). They have always had such a wonderful variety of plant material. Had the occasion to visit them a few years ago and walking around
their greenhouses was an amazing experience. I wanted one (or two or more, LOL) of everything.
Digital cameras have a hard time getting the colors true, sometimes I have to use photoshop to fix them until they are the same as real life.Maybe some day they will get the colors right, cloudy days change colors too.
:-)
I have had no problems except with flash or in real bright sun. I have a Olympus E-10
No wonder Kell spotted it, it's PINK! Very cool.
Very cool, I agree! You are da man, Kyle! No doubt.
