I'm importing this discussion from the ID forum. Consensus is that one of the trees in my back yard is a peach tree. I agree. It certainly looks like one. But it never flowered, and of course then no fruit. How come?
I've only been in this house a couple of months, so I don't know what it did before.
Peach tree no flowers, no fruit
It flowered before you got there. Peaches around here flower April/May. And there are kinds grown for flowers only, the fruit they make falls off pretty quick.
I've been in here since the last weekend of April, but I only saw the house a couple times before that. It may have bloomed early, but I still see no indication of any fruit. You'd think there'd be pits. The ground beneath my cherry tree is littered with pits.
Could the squirrels have nabbed the pits? I remember when I was digging coming up with a couple nut like pieces that might have been the remains of pits.
