Just thought I'd share...gotta be careful where you put bird feeders (even 2 years ago)..."ya never know what yer gonna git"
I got sunshine....
Beautiful!
Thanks stripetail
wonderful shot!!!!
Thanks Anne...it looked so pretty BEFORE Noah came by w/the ark...LOL
yes he was by this way as well LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah...how nice for him to "share" like that...LOL
oh YES indeed how so very kind! especially the thunder storms that drive my dear Opus to shred anything dig into anything - pee on the floor shake like a leaf chatter his teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
makes me wish for winter! poor guy!
Poor Opus - hugs to ya!!!
Oh it is very bad and sad I get just as stressed with his fears in the summer! But drugs help--- they do not stop all his anxiety but some.
He shredded the rubber connected mats in Henry's playroom during storms last night! UGH and tonight they called for horrible storms so I gave him a pill and NOTHING! poor thing sacked out and no storm... That can be the hardest I cannot wait too long for meds beforehand but if nothing happens poor thing is BLAH for hours!
OK enough of my rambling just make s me so sad for him.....
I'm so sorry!! That's so sad that it affects him to that degree. Do they have a Xanax or Ativan for canines? Amber gets razzed but nothing like poor Opus.
Holy $__T!!! Is he part Akita or what?
was he a storm a phobe?????
great looking! :-)
Nope...can't think of anything he was afraid of. It's just that "after" picture you posted with the carpet (?) tore all up reminded me of Cujo's "work" He could go through a door frame in no time. Sadly we had him before I was educated about crates. Live and learn. Oh thank you...he was a very handsome boy...very sweet and gentle with the kids...they were all very young then.
Anne - I love that picture...is it your mom that has the Mastiff's? I couldn't remember.
They are the sweetest dogs...I love anything that Mastiffs make up!!!
LOVE him so handsome --- and yes 11 she hung in there until she heard I was having a baby! She was not fond of small children so she went to sleep and that was that! we miss her she was the first Mastiff my Mom got....
Sweet baby....that must have been so difficult!!!
yes it was very hard after so many years with Bessie. But as my Mother has always done the very next day she got Lyla! and Henry and Lyla have grown up together!
Good for her!!! When I had to put Teddy (Amber's uncle) down...I wondered if I would ever feel "ready." He'd been through a very ugly divorce with me and I just felt like I'd lost my best friend. Then the breeder called a couple months later and said "Chantell, hear me out before you respond, please." She went on to say she had a pick of the litter out of a Canadian bitch she'd bred one of her males to...that was 7 months old - very laid back - sweet disposition...but had developed a bit of a "dip" on her top line. She went on to say...I'd like to place her with you - come on up and at least look at her. I didn't think I wanted a female and never considered the idea of an older pup. But got there and it was love at first sight!!! It's so hard deciding when you're "ready" but sounds like your mom has it down pat!!!
awww that is so sweet and yes my Mother goes the very next day! It seems to be the only way for her to "move on" and has always helped to bring a smile back to everyone to have a new pup around. We never forget our furbabies that have passed that is for sure!!!
Ah...that's a definate!! They all have their own personalities and quirks...LOL How folks live without animals...I just don't know. I'll take the hair and the vet bills any ole day...just to have my sweet Amber tuck her head under my hand as I walk through the house...just like Teddy did.
Me too!!!!! awwwwwwwww
