I am looking for variegated herbs, (esp. variegated catmint) that do not grow more than 12" high and are hardy to Zone 6a.
I need several plants to fill a large space.
Some ideas, but open to others:
variegated catmint (Calamintha grandiflora 'Variegata')
variegated mint (e.g. Mentha suaveolens)
variegated sage (e.g. Salvia officinalis) - but need shorter varieties
variegated thyme (e.g. Thymus citriodorus variegatus)
OTHER?
I have many perennials to trade.
Thanks, ROX

Wanted: Variegated catmint
Lemon balm? Bluish purple flower, falls over at about 15" and starts crawling around.... smells like lemon (duh). I need some regular spearmint as well as your hellebores! I can give you more LB than you need, I swear!

Carrie
Carrie-
Do you have a variegated variety? I really need some color in that bed.
See Dmail re: hellebores. I have lots of mints. My son planted them (without asking) and now I have lots. By the smell I think I have peppermint (it is about 2.5 feet tall) and catmints (nepeta). Should I Dmail some photos of the mints?
I have some extra variegated oregano that might look nice and it survived our zone 6 winter (plants that got covered did better that the others) and it's short and bushy. I'd like to trade for your chives or penstemon if you have any left.
It's the one in the back between the rosemary and the chocolate mint.
