I've been looking at seed catalogs/various tomato websites, and I'm just about cross-eyed with all these different varieties! This will be my first time growing tomatoes, so I'd like something that's not incredibly difficult to grow... I wanted to post here so I could get advice from other TX growers with similiar climate, soil conditions, etc... Here are some of my thoughts:
I'd like one large variety - suitable for sandwiches/burgers, etc... I seem to gravitate to yellow/orange/green varieties in this size group - I like tomatoes that a bit on the fruity/acidic side for burgers, etc. I'm thinking indeterminates would be better here, since I don't have a big family to eat a bunch of fruit at once! (will grow in earthboxes)
One sauce/canning variety (EB or container)
One small/cherry variety - pref. yellow/white/orange, suitable in containers a plus!
If anyone has any suggestions, please help!! Thanks!!

I have 444 seed that I would be willing to share if you want to give that a try. About a month or so ago, the Austin newspaper had a write up on the 444 and said it was a great tomato for this area. They are a determinate and I think you are looking for an indeterminate. I started a couple seedlings and am going to plant one in my EB for fall maters. Hopefully, keeping my fingers crossed.
Also, Debbie shared this link with me earlier when I was looking more into the 444. If you want to read more about it and see pictures go here.
