Caught in the act!

I guess I could contribute with this photo of H. kerrii. I was taking photos of the nectar and you can see what happened. I guess that's called lucky photographing because I doubt I'll ever catch it again.

For some reason the photo didn't want to come along. New try!

Wow, that's a really cool picture Christina. You definitely wouldn't want that one above your carpets when it's blooming.

Thank you ladies! Yes, I was glad to have caught it on photo. I put a paper plate under the plant and the nectar has dripped first on the leaves and then down on the plate.

That is so cool, Christina. That is definately a once-in-a-life shot!
I think the Kerrii bloom is one of the most interesting (if not messiest) blooms.

Ok, now I'm hooked for sure. You have all ruined me for my orchids - now I'm buying Hoyas like an addict. I also just got a new DSLR camera - can't wait for some of them to bloom so I can perfect my photo techniques. Christina - I'm truly jealous.

Thank you all! Glad you liked the photo. It'll be in a Swedish hoya magazine in August.

The flowers are still there but shrivelling up. The nectar is really sticky now and when this is over I'll have to give that kerrii a really thorough shower!
