Tree seeds
Gus,
I don't have any oaks or other species from the Northern Hemisphere, but I do have seed of a number of different Acacia species, including several tree specfies including:
Acacia dealbata Silver wattle
Acacia melanoxylon Blackwood
Acacia baileyana Cootamundra wattle
Acacia pycnantha Golden Wattle
I can let you have seed of any of these for the equivalent of a SASE

Hi Gustichock...I've got a large oak tree. I've seen acorns before, but never really paid much attention to them. I still see squirrels everywhere around it so I'm sure there's gotta be some acorns here and there. I'll scout around in the morning (too dark now) and get back to ya if I find some... unless someone else here has some. My neighbor has a large maple tree and in the Spring, seeds are always floating in our yard. Maybe there's still some of those, too...I'll look.
I'm not interested in a trade, but I'll do it for postage.
Cheryl
Acorns aren't falling off the trees yet this year. I think they fall in August or September. I will save some for you though. Seeds are falling off of other trees now, maybe maples. Are you interested in Chestnut? I have a huge chestnut tree. Those won't fall for a couple of months either. I'd be willing to do it for postage or possibly some flower seeds.

Hi,
Most tree seeds here will not be ready until our fall (your spring), although some species mature during the summer. Quercus spp. are definitely not ready before September, and must be planted immediately upon reciept as the seeds do not store well. Some germinate immediately, most wait until spring (so will need stratification). I can gather seeds for you of local tree species in the New York area later on, in return I'd be very interested in seeds of any native Argentinian plant species, especially bulbous species, flowering annuals, and herbaceous flowering perennials or low growing flowering bushes.
Let me know what you think.
Ernie
Hi Gus
Our nuts are just starting to fall, I have Pin Oak, Southern Red Oak, Willow Oak, Nutmeg Hickory and Shagbark Hickory.
If these interest you I would be interested in native Argentinian palm seeds
Greg
Hi Gus,
I have seen several seedlings growing out of acorns here, so they must be oak. I will be glad to trade you some. What do you have to trade?
I also have some Osage Orange seedlings, Maple and Silk Mimosa Tree seedlings. I have others as well such as Silver Poplar.
Send me a email if you are interested in any of these.
Jane
Soon I'll write to all of you! Thanks a lot buddies!
How about some 'Sugar Maple' or 'American Ash' tree seeds?
Dmail me your address.
