I almost forgot I had these and waited soo long to plant them that they almost dired out

It is an Aztec lily (Sprekelia formosissima) I bought it at a local nursery

This is my first year with them soo well see If I dont kill them.. Though, I hear they are fairly easy.

guess I thought it was hardy to zone 10. I do have some zone 9 stuff that does fine depending on what part of the yard it's in. Usually it's the wet winter, not the cold, that does things in.
It's a beauty!

Alot of sensative stuff ive been digging up and storing in the cold garage in pots .. iether dry or with just a little moisture...I might bring these indoors and treat them as houseplants for a few months this fall to extend the growing season
