We just received an ormental plant called the Golden Trumpet (Allamanda cathartica L), and I have been trying to find some information about it, such as where to plant it, how to care for it, etc., and read that all parts of the plant are toxic. Has anyone any experience with this plant?
Since I live in Florida I had posted this on the Regional site, but realize I could use help from anyone living elsewhere also.

On whether it's poisonous for pets, I would go to the pet forum and browse around--there have been several discussions of this with links posted to websites that give info on which plants are poisonous to pets.
Florida printed several books on onamental poisonous plants in the past. Check with your local dept. of agriculture, or county extention office for info..many have free flyers with all kinds of info
:-)
I had a book on poisonous plants from Fl at one time..will look for it ....
