My Hummer Girl

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I know this is an awful pic. but it was the best I could do at the moment. I love her and even a bad pic. is a good pic. She is sitting on the phone wire just looking around. I tried to wait for her to come back to the feeder but she flew off.

She is so fluffy, like a cotton ball. Even at a distance, you are reminded by how much you appreciate them.

Even tho it's not a good pic of her I can understand your love for her!

My feeder sits right outside my tiny bedroom window. I get to see them many times a day. I have salvia (red, and peach) planted in pots right by the feeder. It is amazing how fast they are. I read that the get away from something speed is 63 miles an hour. That is fast. Their normal speed is between 40-50 miles an hour. I don't guess I can catch one can I?
