OT Cryptanthus question

I'm not sure where a Cryptanthus fits in on DG forums, but I know several of you grow them, so I'll ask here.
My Cryptanthus gave me one little pup several months ago, and has had no new center growth since then. It looks like the center was broken out of it, which could very well have happened if I knocked it over or dropped it. The leaves still look healthy and alive. Is it still alive? Will it resume center growth? Do I keep it? What do I do? Help! LOL

I vote that it may or may not resume center growth but is alive until it's dead :P
They spread sideways by making pups so I would keep it and not worry about it.... (what a lot of help I am)

You knocked it's head off. lol I'd keep it ! The Cryptanthus gave me has two babies growing ! Their so cute.

LOL, Allison! I'm so bad about knocking stuff over. I'm clumsy like that. Oh well, it just makes them stronger (if it doesn't kill them! LOL) I'll hang on to it. Hopefully a headless Cryptanthus can still produce pups. :o)

We post O/T Brom's here some as we enjoy growing and sharing them. When you post over in the Brom forum and many other forums people don't even talk with you. Some forums seems to have their own little clicks and they don't talk to anyone else if you post they talk right around you.
This is why I share my O/T's here with my kind Peeps !
