I.D.palm seedlings please.

This 1st one is about 8 years old, taken from under a Canary Island Date Palm, but is sure looks more like a Cabbage/Sable palm seedling. Could it still be a Canary Isl. ?

This next one is only about a year old and just appeared in our yard in a dirt pile one day; no other palm trees around the area.

THe first looks like a Livistona species,... but unless you have grey grass and purple mulch, I cannot comment on the true color of that palm which keeps me from guessing more specifically what species it might be. The second looks like too many things to guess at this point... Pritchardia? Livistona also?

Thanks PalmBob,
The plant I have does look like it may be a Livingstona, but I did pick it along with a bunch of seedlings under a huge Canary Isl. Date.
Do you possibly have a picture of a CIDP seedling 7-9 years old to compare it too?

I think the first is a sabal . The leaves really resemble them.

Could be that, too... are there any teeth on the petioles? If not, Sabal is a better guess.

Here is a 5 year old seedling P canariensis in California.

The second photo I guess could be a CIDP but only 2-3 years old.

if the first one is that old its a palmetto or sabal.they takes years to get just a few seedling leaves. the second looks like washingtonia, either robusta or fillifera.
