I tell you ..My clematis have just been blooming non-stop this season...
Here is Clematis "Claire de Lune"
My Clematis don't know how to stop!!
Jeanne
STUNNING!!! your doing something right. I get a few blooms here and there after the first flush. Your "fireworks" look to me to be Mrs N. Thompson, alot of places get them mixed up because of how similar they are. However I really think it a Mrs N. Thompson. Still haven't been able to get Bibbler system yet but when I do are you up for some trades?
Take care
Gary
Gary!!..Tradin' sounds good to me..If I can just get more to root..LMBO..I just put in two cutting of "Jackmanii" labeled the date and what part of the vine they are to see which roots quicker..one new growth..semi-green and the other hardwood was reading about it in one of my Mary Toomey Clematis Books..I use to know this old feller that use to root everything in sand!!..
Debbie..yours look more like "Fireworks" than mine!!..Some one said it might be Gipsy Queen..but it sure blooms and emerges later than my others...Jeanne
Jeanne, very nice display. I'm envious.

So many Clematis beauties are adorning your garden! I love them ALL!
What do you use for Earwigs that love to munch on Clematis blooms??? My "Henryii" looked so pathetic this year because of the ^$#*&^% Earwigs!!!
Shirley..so sorry to hear that hon..I don't have Earwigs in my gardens...Horticulture Guy recommends "Neem Oil"..but remember anytime you use a spray that contains oil...spray after the hot evening sun has gone down....thanks everyone...Jeanne

Thanks, Jeanne. I am planning to cut back 'Henryii' a bit and then spray it with either 'Neem Oil' or 'Light Horticultural Oil', which ever I currently have in my house.
