I hope someone can answer this for you John, I see the new growth is a bit crinkled, I hope its not broadmites. They are so hard to get rid of.
If that new growth is crisp and thick feeling, my guess, like Shelly's, would be that you have broad mites. You can't see them with the naked eye.
