Marilyn please save us some seed from those beauties. Beautiful pics

Marilyn, the butterflies are sweet and so is the sentiment about your 'soulmate'.

Donna,

Sure, I can do that, if they don't blow away in the wind first.

Gram,

When I saw what the variety was, I smiled and knew I had to have it!

Oh, I'm going to shamelessly BEG (because others do) for seeds!! I absolutely LOVE it!!

This is one of those flowers that catches my eye and I must have. Do you plant a lot of things for butterflies? I'd be happy to trade you something. Look at some of my garden pics and see if there's something you might want and I'll see if I have seeds. Sorry, I'm not one of those organized seed collectors. lol Mine are in paper sacks all over the house and garage.

butterflyfarms.com has a variety of different milkweed seeds

Hi all!

I'll have to 'bookmark' this topic/thread to get all your names. I've never sent seeds (much less milkweed seeds) through the mail. Do I need a "padded" envelope?

So far this list is............(let me know if I missed anyone)

konkreteblond,

Yes, you can have seeds too (you don't have to BEG) LOL

;-))

Yes, I do try and plant things for the Butterflies and Hummers (every year). It gives me great enjoyment to see them feed and to just see them in the yard! I've planted fennel, dill, parsley, butterfly weed too for flowers and/or host plants.

They must love the this color. My husband came walking around the corner and saw me laying on the ground(in the front yard) taking this picture. He rolled his eyes, turned around and said I don't know you/ lol. Gotta do what I gotta do for a pretty pic you know?

Great pic! Well worth laying in the grass for it! What is the plant?

That www.butterflyfarm.com sure did have some pretty ones! I've just concentrated on the ones I had the last couple of years but I'm ready to branch out now. I want pink!!!

I tried Swamp milkweed but it just would not grow or bloom. The 3rd year it finally gave up or I just let it die. I probably should have moved it. I have thrown out Cinderella seeds but no sign of them.

CaptMicha is growing all kinds of milkweed and gathering all of his info for the PlantFiles. I think he peaked my interest. ...finally found the thread with his list...

Marilyn, thanks for the seed offer. I would love it. I wanted to try milkweed next year anyway and that one is so pretty (plus, my dh is my 'soulmate' too :-)...we've been together since I was 17, over 40 years.......whoops, gave away my age)

jackieshar, thanks for the link. I bookmarked.
