I can't get over the smell of this one. I believe it is a tsangii.
I''m gonna have a bumch of blooms!
actually, I think you have a lacunosa. Isn't the smell fabulous????
Ann
You know what MsKitty. i think you are right. I ahave them mixed up. The without the blooms is the tsangii. My husband is tired of finding me wit my nose in the plant. lol
Oh wow it s very pretty, and the smell is wonderful. Ya just can't keep your nose out of this hoya..
Oh, yeah. Mine has a bunch of buds on it and two peduncles orth of blooms open right now - oh does it smell divine! Like pdoyle, my nose is in the plant!

Everytime you walk out on my back porch you can smell mine..isnt it great!! My nose has been stuffed in the plant for weeks, its a solid bloomer for me.
I just love it. To have that little plant put off a smell like that is amazing.
pdoyle ... That is one large basketful of Lacunosa you have there! It's beautiful. Mine has yet to bloom so I don't know what it smells like, but I know eeeevery time someone posts their Lacunosa, everyone chimes in and comments about how good it smells. Can't WAIT til mine blooms...someday!

BetsyJ, I hope yours blooms for you soon. You will know it when it does!
Beautiful plant, pdoyle!!
Thank you all
I think lacunosa probably tops the list for smell (with my nose anyway...) Mine has all kinds of buds, too, but I found some mealies lurking in it the other day and hit it with a dose of Bayers and the buds seem to be dropping now. I'm hoping they'll make a quick comeback.

Is messenger good to use on hoyas?
I seem to be having good luck with it...it is either Messenger or my own skill....the former I do believe!!!

What a lovely plant :) and my guess is also Kentiana.
I have DS70 or Tsangii and the leaves are more of a matte finish..not shiney like yours :)
It is an incredible plant by any name though :)
Lorry, if the bloom color is correct in the photo, I don't believe it to be a kentiana. The kentiana's blooms are peachy/orange.

Ann good point..Hmm I didn't notice that..I was too hung up on the leaves..like the newbie I am LOL
It sure is lovely though..maybe a hybrid?
It's label said carnosa. But that was corrected here by a few DG members. The picture is actually true to color. i wish I could remeber what setting the camera was on.
