I just love it. To have that little plant put off a smell like that is amazing.

Mt Zion, IL(Zone 5b)

pdoyle ... That is one large basketful of Lacunosa you have there! It's beautiful. Mine has yet to bloom so I don't know what it smells like, but I know eeeevery time someone posts their Lacunosa, everyone chimes in and comments about how good it smells. Can't WAIT til mine blooms...someday!

Thank you all

I think lacunosa probably tops the list for smell (with my nose anyway...) Mine has all kinds of buds, too, but I found some mealies lurking in it the other day and hit it with a dose of Bayers and the buds seem to be dropping now. I'm hoping they'll make a quick comeback.

Is messenger good to use on hoyas?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

I seem to be having good luck with it...it is either Messenger or my own skill....the former I do believe!!!

What a lovely plant :) and my guess is also Kentiana.
I have DS70 or Tsangii and the leaves are more of a matte finish..not shiney like yours :)
It is an incredible plant by any name though :)

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

Lorry, if the bloom color is correct in the photo, I don't believe it to be a kentiana. The kentiana's blooms are peachy/orange.

Ann good point..Hmm I didn't notice that..I was too hung up on the leaves..like the newbie I am LOL
It sure is lovely though..maybe a hybrid?

Chesapeake, VA(Zone 7b)

It's label said carnosa. But that was corrected here by a few DG members. The picture is actually true to color. i wish I could remeber what setting the camera was on.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

it very well be a carnosa..We all may be misjudging the size of it's leaves.
Here is a picture of my carnosa aff carnosa (I believe)
Her blooms are white with red centers and your flowers do look like they will be white :)
