Variegated Cuban Oregano Plectranthus amboinicus Solid White

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

My plant (potted) is producing some solid white stems/leaves. There are two small stalks which are completely white. They are in the sun. If I root the white stems, will it stay white?

I suspect that the white stems will not be able to survive on their own, as they lack chloryphyll. Sometimes I get an entirely white plantlet from a variegated AV leaf, and if I don't leave it attached to the mother leaf until it greens up a bit, it doesn't survive.

However... nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Interesting, I think I will give one a try. Thanks pod
