I was despressed yesterday, one of my sad days, I have too many lately. My babies will be movong 1000 miles away in a few months and I am having a hard time with it...so anyways I did some shopping at Annie's and Oakland Longs yesterday to cheer me up. Got lots of goodies, they did help a bit but I end up doing the stupid crying thing while driving home, ugh! Thank goodness for big dark sunglasses.

Oh Sue why so blue? I couldn't believe all the kinds of coleus Longs had. I got lots too last week. LOL. I always go nurserying when I go to Kaiser in Pleasanton. I have been having appointments every 2 weeks there so I have been getting way too many plants. Every visit they have what I need.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, you have reason to be blue. I too have been doing too many shopping trips too. I also go to Nordstroms every Kaiser visit. It is across the street. LOL. And the last 2 visits I have been stopping in at a jewelry store there. Tom sure hopes I cheer up or I get stable real soon. We can all drive around and cry together in between nurseries.
Ohhhhhhhhhh Fridays are not good for me because I have to be in the house at 4 to go into the city for our date night. Thursday or Saturday would be GREAT!!
We could go out and do the Berkeley Botanical and then Orchards and McDonnnells. There is also a DL little nursery out there too, Sue. I am too happy to do any or all of them.

Saturday the 8th is the Strybing monthly sale. It starts at 10. Last month Kell and I were able to do the sale, then scoot over the bay bridge and hit EB and BH and if I didn't have an event to get to that night we would have had time to hit Longs/Ace too or some other gem that Kell knows of.
SO.. if the 8th works for anyone give a holler. Patricia, I hope your surgery goes well and that you can come too! (Hey, I'll trade you a 'Lory Hansen' begonia or 'Sunbar' begonia for some Hoya (do you have any left or did they all go bye bye?)
Either way, I'll be at the Strybing sale (this month's theme is Salvia's and Shrubs but there is always a bit of everything)
You're never going to believe what happened to me today at Trader Joes! YUP! It jumped right in my cart (along with those oatmeal cookies - which I'm denying that I bought!!!). What can a girl do? It's gorgeous and RED as it can be, and HUGE! I'll try and get a photo of it later this evening when I come in from the garden.

Oh Lordy! I had that cheesecake last week - the one in the white box with blue print! WOW, eat it frozen it's way better that way!! (can you tell I was jonesing so hard for cheesecake that I didn't even let it thaw out according to the directions! ate that sucker as frozen as it could be and then decided I liked it better that way! LOL)
HEY, plus you can stock up on the two buck chuck, I always drown a sorrow or two that way! Actually their Honeymoon Viognier is the BOMB!

I have a huge wine fridge full now, just got a few cases from a favorite winery that was clearing out their stock, worked out to $4 a bottle! I can drown sorrow in that (opening a bottle every night this week so far!)

Sue, my heart goes out to you. I feel like I have been depressed for two years, that is when my youngest daughter moved to Oregon with three of my grandchildren. My daughter was my gardening buddy and I was really close with the grandchildren. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't wish they were here. I did get to spend last week camping on the Oregon coast with them, and that was so much fun.
Lali, I do still have some hoya's. I have already gotten rid of about 2/3rd. of my collection. Some of them are in dire need of some tender loving care. On Monday I will try to make a list of what I have that you might be interested in.
My husband will be home any minute, and once he walks through those doors, he get's all my attention until he leaves for work on Monday.

Patricia, you probably have b. erythrophylla 'Helix' but if not, I just knocked two BIG rhizomes off when I was carying the thing outside to water it. If you don't have it, I'll stick them in a pot for you and hopefully they'll root.

Patricia, there's a plant sale that I drag Kell (don't ya know she's kicking and screaming the whole way! LOL - just ribbing you Kell) to every 2nd Saturday at the greenhouse (Unless it's a 'special' event sale like the one in Spring or coming up in August, those are at the fair building) So I'll be sure to give you a heads up for the next one, or the next Hop we do.
