Sassy Shell and Ultra Violet Dusk ~
I like growing these two Girlies together !
Gosh, you just can't get any prettier than girl foliage, can you? I love it! You sent Sassy Shell to me in my first box. She wasn't happy with her move at all to begin with (typical female LOL) but since moving her to my east window she's putting out new leaves and seems much happier! Those are all gorgeous!
Oh good glad Sassy is doing better ! She's a Vintage girl too ! I find her easy to grow and grew her and all her sister's that went to DG peeps from some leaves I bought last Fall.
I think coming to my cooler, drier house from your warmer, moister one was difficult on several of the first ones you sent. I figured out several things I was doing wrong, though, and I've got my fingers crossed that with my newfound knowledge, they'll do much better this coming winter.
Check out Hyla's Little Lyra! She's definitely happier now than she was! LOL (It's taking those buds FOREVER to open though! Well, not really, but it seems like forever! Patience is not my strong suit! Those three blooms stalks full of buds came out of nowhere, and there's a fourth one coming up since I took this picture three days ago.)
Oh she's looking real good again ! She was blooming when you got her and travling takes time to adjust.
She is the greatest plant ! I have a baby coming along good even has suckered from a leaf I took from yours. Hehe
She was blooming her head off when I got her, but she stopped that right quick. I had them in a window that was too cool and not enough light to start with. I thought they'd be fine, but it just wasn't what they needed at all. They get that lovely morning sun in my east window and are growing like weeds! All of them are doing so much better! I need to get everyone out and take lots of pictures. I'll try to do that soon.
Great ! I'd love to see lots of your pictures !
Allison, that pink girl violet is called "Rococo". Where it gets confusing for me is that there is supposed to be a "Rococo" and a "Rococo Pink". I don't know what the difference is supposed to be.
There's also a "Rococo Lilac" which is lavender which I've purchased and for which I'm waiting.
Marilee :)
Wonderful pics! Thanks to Allison, I've got leaves or plantlets of all 3 of those girlies.... Can't wait to see them bloom!
I got an Ultra Violent Dusk on one of my trips to BB. She was a small little thing and is coming along pretty well. I will be so glad when she blooms. I told my hubby that today is Plant Food day. I spent the last few of days getting them all pretty, washing out some of their trays with clorox, stuff like that. Now it is time for food. It will be a big job but well worth it. I will be using Optimara's AV plant food.
Jesse
Sounds fun Jesse ! I like Optimara's food too.
Jill I can't wait for all your plants to bloom too Your's too Jesse their so pretty . They flower a lot short resting periods and the flowers last a long time !
Taz I've seen "Rococo". on Ebay..and just latly saw the Lilac one. Maybe someone's plant sported. I would think "Rococo" pink is the same as "Rococo". ?
Lorry picked mine up for me whole sale and other plants. I love them. I'm a lucky duck !
Very beautiful, Allison. I love them, too.
