I was just about ready to give up!!

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

From fires to theft, hail and more rains, I was more than ready to give up. Figured this was not gonna be my year for brugs, even though so many of you wonderful people have helped me. This I am very thankful for. Til this morning! The brug addict came out in full force! Even though it's beat up (another storm last night) it has bloomed! My first of the season! Gary, V, did I do good or what?

Meag848..I hope you are not cooking steak on that grill or you will wonder what was it. You might have to watch a little close for water with that black pot because the sun will cook it if the grill don't.LOL

LOL!! Let's not talk about another fire!! I just set it up on it because I'm to old to get down on my knees to get a decent pic.

Looking good. I'm glad you were able to get started with them again, thanks to some great people here. Let's hope you have NO more big events that will disrupt your life and those of the brugs. LOL!

V, I don't use matches....I prefer a blow torch! LOL!!
Gary, it's KBS. It is so pretty!
Now what brug to get next!! LOL! Why is it that with the first bloom, you just have to have "just one more"! LOL!! I guess that's why it's called a true addiction!

How great that you have achieved bloom!

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

Wow Melanie I didn't reckognize her. She looks nothing like the small cutting i sent you. She looks so healthy and robust...she also looks homesick..time to send her back!!!! LOL!!!
I brought a plant of KBS with me here to NY. The skirts are dropping and i should have some blooms by tomorrow. KBS is one of my favorite brugs because it blooms in large flushes that are very fragrant. The mama plant is a standard that sits in a 30 gallon pot and stands 11 feet tall or so. She is a sight to behold when in full flush. Here are few of mama's blooms
