I did amend the soil, and it still did not come up blue. Oh well, it's still pretty!

I had one in a pot and added acid like crazy and it was still pink! I finally gave it to my daughter who has more shade and better luck w/ hydrangeas- I am waiting to see if she can make it blue! Yours if very pretty and I know that mine would have been happier in your zone.

Thanks! I will just keep adding stuff to it each year and see what happens! Tamara

Can I ask what you are feeding/adding? I just purchased one and it is pink. I haven't planted it yet - any tips as to the best location. I am in Edmonton, Zone 4 so I'm hoping it will survive the winter, I have seen several other hydrangeas making it so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!

I used organic sulfur, but I guess you can use aluminum sulfate as well (but be careful not to add too much or it can burn the roots). Tamara
