What do you know about Aztec Sweet Herb

Sealy, TX(Zone 9a)

Just found this on the site and also just bought one today - on the watering needs it says don't keep over wet and then it says a good bog plant? The only message about this also says it's drought tolerant - I'm very confused. I want to get it in the ground tomorrow, but now have a question as to where to plant. Hope someone can help

I found this in the Plant Files or Plant Scout. It says this plant needs 'moisture'. So I would think humidity. Some plants like a very 'wet air' so to speak. I wouldn't plant it in full sun.

I got it some years ago as a stevia substitute. It has a creosote taste to us. I overwintered it in the greenhouse the first year, but after that I let it go.

thanks I guess I'll stick it in the partly sunny spot and in Houston we have plenty of humidity and see what happens - I tasted a leaf and I agree it's got a strange taste - not going to replace sugar for me!

Stevia works pretty good as sugar replacement if that's what your looking for--Cornelius on Dairy Ashford had some earlier in the week.
