This is new for me, E. Strawberry Patch- the foliage is great, have no idea what the flower looks like and I doubt that it could be as beautiful as these leaves.

Additional photos of Little Chatterbox, although the light colored, fantasy flowers have too much light on them, you can see that the little blossom stem w/ the darker flowers is producing all dark flowers and all other blossom stems are producing the lighter fantasy flowers.

Another shot of Little Chatterbox, same problem, too much light on the flowers but you get the general idea.

The foliage on that episcia is truly remarkable! All your plants look wonderful!!

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Jill thanks. I can't take any credit, the 2 AVs came from Bluebird pretty much as you see them and the Episcia just came today- an ebay item, even though I keep telling myself I won't buy from Ebay I lack the will power! Good thing I have not tried Heroin, I'd never be able to kick that habit!

Beautiful plants April !

Denver, CO

Can I share a picture here to the Epicia lovers? This is at the Westen CO botanical Gardens where I work, in the greenhouse. I forget what the taller thing is with the echoed color.

Beautiful! You are lucky to work for the botanical gardens! That would be a dream come true!

Silver Spring, MD

I love Strawberry Patch and the CO botanical picture is wonderful. Hard for be to believe that these plants just grow outside.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Strawberry Patch is very pretty.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Wow, that is a thriving patch of episcia... love the silvery foliage! I think the tall colorful plant might be a Croton?

Those are super lovely, April! Thanks for posting the pictures!

Oh to have that Episcia patch in my non-existent greenhouse! Agreed on the Croton, critter - Petra, if I'm not mistaken. Had one but killed it when I forgot to water it. I still miss it!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

yes it is we have some were here when we bought the home

Denver, CO

The croton (Codiaeum varagatum) is a nice specimen, common. But the red-flowered bushy guy escapes me as far as name. If I had more time I would take over the greenhouse. One thing I would do is a nice AV groundcover...

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

oh yes, I can especially see some of the standard trailers as a groundcover.... great idea!
