CLOSED: Have Blackberry Mint 4 trade or postage

Augusta, AR(Zone 8a)

I had to dig this up because it was running in my walkway. Rather than mow it down or throw it away I thought I'd ask if anyone would like to have some. I'll trade for mints I don't have (listed in garden diary), perennial salvia's, autumn sages (salvia greggii), or anything that attracts hummies. Or as stated if you just want it for postage that's ok too. Either way this stuff needs to go asap! Anyone?

I'd love some blackberry mint if any is left. I am open to trade or postage. Could you tell me anything about this plant, I can't seem to find anything with a net search except for recipes for muffins and blackberry mint icetea--nothing about seeds or plants! I have a salvia that has red flowers on it, is woody and has not gone dormant in our zone, but I don't know the name. It is popular with the bees and bttrflies
Thanks,
ddensmore

I have dmailed everyone.

No more requests please until I see how much I have left. I will post again if I have more left.

Augusta, AR(Zone 8a)

katrun, all I can tell you about the mint is it is extremely fragrant, fairly low growing until it becomes crowded, and yes invasive. I can not walk by it without caressing the foliage. I love it!

katrun, gldandrews are next in line if I have any left =)

It's very easy to keep mints from invading. Get a big coffee can, cut the bottom out, bury it in the ground and plant the mint inside it.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Hart, that approach can work... as can cutting the bottom out of one of those big plastic nursery pots and burying it with an inch or so above ground... but you have to be vigilant still. My mints will root if the stem "flops" down and touches the ground, and once it gets a toehold, look out! LOL

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

for those wanting info I found this googling
http://cgi.ebay.com/blackberry-mint-a-must-for-your-collection_W0QQitemZ170001053995QQihZ007QQcategoryZ42214QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Edited to say the info is probably correct but the picture seems to be the one she displays for every mint in her inventory. LOL

Hart, I don't mind the invasive part because it allows me to share more often. As long as I am digging them up for trade or postage they won't get to far ;).

Windy, thanks for the info.

vwetzel, I will put you on future list =).

Ocean Springs, MS(Zone 9a)

I would love some of this mint...if you have any left to share.
