Brad,
I got it from Emerson in Houston. He has great Plumeria's. He is who introduced Allen (hubby) and I to Plumeria's and now we have over 100 that we plant every Spring and dig up every November to store for the Winter.

Shes gorgeous!!
What does she smell like?

Tami, have I seen you over at Pals? Welcome to Dave's! It's great to see you here. That flower is gorgeous, and Emerson is much-admired for his amazing plumerias. He seems like such a great guy too.

Wow! You've got a huge chore like Paula, Michael, and some others here every November. We would love to see some pictures of how you do it if you can take pictures as you go this coming November. It is so helpful and inspirational to cold-climate growers to see this in action.

Double wow on that gorgeous flower. It is so beautiful that it would be wonderful if you could upload it to PlantFiles here: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/119322/index.html It's easy. Just click the "Upload A Picture" link at the bottom of the page. Yes, tell us what she smells like:-)

Welcome again to the Plumeria Forum!

Thanks Malestorm. I can't remember what it smells like. It's finished blooming but I have several seed pods comming out. It will be nice to see what the seedlings will look like. I smell them but I don't pay a whole lot of attention to what they smell like unless someone asks or gives there opinion. I have a three year old granddaughter that I keep four days a week and she is with me when I make my rounds so I don't have loads of time. LOL She ia Plumeria crazy as well.
Clair,
It's great to see you here as well. Yes Emerson is a great Guy. Allen and I have met with him several times. I think we might need to go by his place because he has several I want and we will miss the sale in Clear Lake this year. (family crayfish dinner) Real bad timing but I have to go. I'll see about uploading a picture but I can't tell you what it smells like. We had about 20 different ones blooming when it was and I just smelled them all and never really thought about it. I will the next time though. Hey and thanks for the welcome.

Tami, that is a beauty for sure. You probably know this already, but here is Emerson's web site in case you don't: http://www.emersonsplumerias.com/ That is too bad that you will miss the sale this year, but I'm sure there will be others. Emerson has a few that I would love to get for my friend in Thailand like 'San Miguel' and some others. I approached Emerson about trading, but he wasn't interested, and I can understand that.

New Caney, TX

Clare,
He has so many already. His prices are cheep enough though. He always sells great rooted plants. Most all have several tips. I have his 'San Miguel' also. We have bought several from him. Here is his Pink Nova. I really love it. It has a cinnamony fragrance.

Tami -

Beautiful pictures of your plummies!! If I send you my address, will you throw some of that cinnamony-smell into an envelope and send it to me so I can take a whiff?!?! Can't imagine a Plummie smelling like that! =0) I have one - it just got done blooming - it's a butter-cream yellow and smells like...well, PLUMERIA! But cinnamon?! WOW!

Ok thanks for the update..
Sounds like a good plumie to use in a Xross...

Tami, I have to say that California Bud Sally looks like a winner. Every picture that I've seen of the huge flower is impressive. Emerson just said that he doesn't have many duplicates, but he does have four of those trees. What a great flower. One day, I'll have to get one.

New Caney, TX

Clare,
I bought my Bud's Sally from him at a plant sale. He must just take so many cuttings a year. Mine won't be ready for cuttings for a few years and then it will probably be over 'Allen's dead body'. LOL He's so hates to cut them.

Tami, I can relate to Allen! Most of mine are small too;-)
