A couple blooms.

Bessemer City, NC(Zone 7b)

This is my hookeri. I wanted an oxypetalum for the larger petals, but I have since changed my mind. I like what this one has to offer. It was tagged "Queen of the Night".

The bloom was 7.5 inches across. Three have opened and more to go. Wonderful in the night air.

I bought four unamed Epis (they were tagged only as to color) in 6" hanging baskets. A semi-double red bloomed last year as did the hookeri. This is the first time the "purple" one has bloomed.

They're both gorgeous. My first oxypetalum bloom is opening tonight and I'm really excited.

Sandy,
I wish you the best of weathers tonight to enjoy the show!! I assume the plant is outside?
