Two years of waiting! Species finally blooms!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Got this as a cutting last year from Shirley. It grew and thrived, but had only ONE bloom in early November. Since it was not a large/tall plant, I saved the whole thing in my basement for the winter--all dry and dormant.

She took off very well this year and this was her first "flush" (like, only 3 blooms...). They are so L-O-N-G and slender and have such a full skirt. Smelled good too. I am sure I will have more blooms as it is only June.

This is of two of the blooms.

This is the bottom of the bloom. I had to tilt it forwards to see her "undies"....:o)

Here is the bloom pretty much as it appeared on the plant. It seems to have a pink tinge. NOT for real! Must have been the light. She is pure white.

Last one...showing how long and slim she is. The whole thing must have been 14" or so. Shoulda had a ruler! Next time.....
