Anyone Want A @)$#)^)%& Cockatiel?

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Those @*#($))@(%(@ birds. I had several of my AV on the table that I was working on. I went to move them back in the kitchen where they live and I started to scream who broke the leaves of of the B-Man? I started to look around and those birds had been chewing on the leaves of several of the AV. I could just cry because I like to try and keep them in nice even circles and now they are not. Maybe bird stew.

Sorry makshi, Don't mean to laugh. Keeping all our hobbies in tune with each other is sometimes crazy. How do you discipline a bird? Again, sorry, but I really had a good laugh.

You roll up a very tiny newspaper, repeat "bad bird!" and smack them w/ the little tiny newspaper- no?
Tell them that Monty Python did a bit called "Putting your budgie down" ?

Poor makshi- my mom can't keep any house plants or cut flowers in her house because of the cats!

I'll bet your cockatiel's feathers are drooping now.... My friend's bird just hates it when he's mad at her. No real harm done, but I know it'll take a while before your plants are looking perfect again.

(((Makshi)))

The title of the thread did make me LOL.

Hope the rest of your day goes much better!

:-)

I bet he was jealous of the attention the AVs were getting...

Birdie Bird (her name) is the one that chews on everything. Sometimes she gets her hubby in on it. The other two seldom chew on plants.

Too funny, Diane! Bless your heart, I know it made you so mad, though. I'm sure your B-Man will recover fully.

Roopville, GA(Zone 7b)

diane tell us about them...how many do you have? i used to have budgies. cockatiels seem better for kids etc. our budgies weren't very friendly with the kids. have you ever had babies??? can you post pictures of your plant destruction crew :) we would love to see them!

Yes, I will get a picture of them. There are 4 of the critters. Birdie Bird is the only female and she has lived with me for 7 years. She came to live here when she was 8 weeks old. Arven is her husband and is a canky flighty bird who is about 3 years old. They have never had babies all though she has laid eggs. They have never been fertile. Coco is about 13 years old and we took him in at the age of 8. He is an old man and acts like one most of the time. He is a little forgetful, lost some feathers and yells at things that he preseves to be in his way. Puppy is about 3 or 4 and is a rescue. He loves me most of the time and walks through the house looking for me. He likes to sit a sing or yell at me when he can. This is a little about the gang and I will get a picture of them later and post it.

what a lovely family you have, Makshi!

Couldn't help but laughing about the birds! They sure can be destructive. My cockatiels aren't so bad, but the lovebirds are awful. You have my sympathy :-)

LOL...been there with my conure! He loves to chomp on a leaf if he gets an opportunity.
That is not even to mention my 100 pound mutt who likes to pluck a baby if they are within her reach!
Pets..can't live with them..can't kill them!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Here are pictures of the Rat Pack in their cages. It is hard to get them to sit still for a pic so these are not real good. You really can't get them out of the cage.

Kelly,
Yes, he is very pretty. That is Birdie Bird's hubby and he loves her very much. If she gets out of his site he starts to scream. She loves him but doesn't get as upset if he is out of site. She does however call him when he get to screaming for awhile.

Roopville, GA(Zone 7b)

how sweet! they are such smart birds!!!
